Flight Number: 298
Status (MVP, Gold. 75K, 100K): 75K (me) Gold (wife)
Fare Class: Q for me, S for wife
Add companion, if there was one: kid with no status (me), kid with MVP (wife)
Time the upgrade cleared or position on waitlist if didn't clear: 3-4 days before (me), 15 hours before departure (wife)
Date of ticket purchase: 11.29.2023
This was an absolute jackpot: four upgrades on a transcon red-eye meant great sleep for us and our 6 year olds after a long layover in Seattle to see friends. Wife and her companion kid had one person on the waitlist ahead of them also. We hate Amateur Night (NYE) anyway so this good luck will definitely put late night on 12/31 at the top of our preferred travel times.

Hands down one of the worst flights I've ever taken service-wise. Was writing to Alaska Listens even before take off. Not a great way to start the new year with AS, but on the bright side hope it only goes up from here

Well this is a first. Flight attendant just told me I'm the only one in first class. I checked the wait-list and it appears to be empty. When I cleared a few days ago at least one other seat was previously occupied but they must have SDC'd or something.

Was #5 on the list for 3 seats at T-24, but appeared that someone (or even 2) with a companion on the list above me was passed over for one seat being upgraded

Started out as #2 on WL with two seats remaining, then someone pushed me down to #3, #1 and #2 cleared and I was looking like I would clear from #1 (1 person hadn't checked in and looked no show likely), then at T-3 someone appeared above me on the WL and got a battlefield upgrade into 1F.
Ended up in PC 8A and got the (cappuccino-flavored!) chocolate, which is a nice comfort given the dual IRROPS disasters this weekend with northeast weather and MAX9 groundings.

JetAirways77W Was U space open within T-24?
If so, next time try the self-upgrade method (check-in via full online website may offer a complimentary upgrade to FC) to bypass the waitlist. 🤙🏻🥃

One very happy person got $900 plus hotel/meals for flying out the next day - wish I could have done that if it wasn't for work and hope this means they continue to add flights to this route

Route: LAX-NAS
Status (MVP, Gold or 75K): Gold
Fare class: G (maybe)
Flight number: 823
Aircraft: Boeing 737-900 (Winglets)
Upgrade cleared: T-0
Sitting in Premium, my wife and I, #1,2 on the waitlist, noticed on the flight’s status webpage that two seats in F had opened up. So with the door still open and as the weight balance was a concern, the FAs wheeled in the GAs to authorize the upgrades for us. A pleasant start to 2024. 😊
